1. Overview
Pocket Chime Alerm provides alarms, timers, clocks, weather context, calendar context, a brightness check, and optional game progress. You do not need to create an account with us to use the app.
Most alarm, timer, theme, and preference data remains on your Apple devices. The app also uses limited third-party services for purchases, weather, app usage measurement, and crash diagnostics, as described below.
2. Data we process and why
Alarm, timer, clock, and preference data
Alarm schedules, timer state, clock settings, themes, and app preferences are stored locally in the app's storage and Apple system frameworks. The app shares the minimum state needed with its widgets and Apple Watch companion through Apple's App Group and WatchConnectivity technologies. Notifications are scheduled locally; the app does not register for remote push notifications.
App usage measurement
Firebase Analytics, provided by Google, receives limited product interaction events such as opening a tool, selecting a theme, or interacting with an alarm. It may also receive app-instance, device, operating-system, and app-version information. We use these events to understand whether features work and where the app can be improved. We do not set a custom user ID, email address, or display name in Firebase Analytics.
Crash and error diagnostics
Firebase Crashlytics, provided by Google, processes crash reports, diagnostic logs, stack traces, app state, device model, operating-system version, app version, and nonfatal error details. We use this information to identify and repair failures. Error details can include technical text generated by Apple frameworks or service providers.
Purchases and subscription access
Apple processes payments through the App Store. RevenueCat helps the app
retrieve products, complete or restore purchases, and check the
pocket_chime_alert_pro entitlement. RevenueCat may process an
app-generated anonymous customer identifier, Apple receipt and transaction
information, product identifiers, purchase dates, subscription status, and
related device or app information. We do not send RevenueCat a custom email
address, display name, or account login from the app.
Game progress and iCloud
Optional game progress, including accumulated play time and points, can sync between your Apple devices through Apple's iCloud Key-Value Store. A display-name preference created by an earlier app experience may also remain in that store. This information is associated with your Apple iCloud account and is not sent to our own server.
Messages to support
If you email info@cavemen.jp, we process the address, message, and any diagnostic details or screenshots you choose to include so that we can respond. Please remove information that is not needed for your request.
3. Device permissions and sensor data
Weather and location
Weather is optional. If you allow location access and enable weather, the app sends an approximate location coordinate to Apple WeatherKit to obtain local conditions. The app does not store the raw coordinate in the shared weather snapshot; it keeps only the returned weather summary needed for display. Apple processes the request under its own privacy terms. You can revoke location access in iOS Settings.
Calendar
If you choose to connect Calendar, the app reads the title and start time of relevant upcoming events. Calendar data is processed only on your device for display and alarm context. The app does not upload calendar titles or event times to our servers or persist them in its own database. You can disconnect calendar access in iOS Settings.
Light Check and camera
Light Check is optional. When you start it, front-camera frames are processed only on your device to calculate a brightness value. Camera images and video are not saved or transmitted. Camera access can be revoked in iOS Settings.
Motion, proximity, and screen brightness
The app can use motion, proximity, and screen-brightness readings in memory to adapt its on-screen experience. These readings are not uploaded to our servers.
5. Retention and deletion
Local app data remains until you delete an item, reset the related setting, or remove the app, subject to Apple system backups. iCloud Key-Value Store data remains under your iCloud account until it is changed or removed using your Apple account and device controls.
Purchase records and entitlement information are retained by Apple and RevenueCat for as long as needed to provide purchases, restoration, fraud prevention, accounting, and legal compliance. Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics information is retained according to the configured service retention periods and then deleted or de-identified. Support email is retained while we handle your request and afterward only as reasonably needed for security, recordkeeping, or legal obligations.
To request access to or deletion of information that we control, email info@cavemen.jp. We may need enough information to verify and locate the request. Apple purchase history and iCloud data must be managed with Apple because we do not control those records.
6. Your choices

If the policy changes materially, we will update this page and its effective date. Your local law may provide additional privacy rights.
